Optional Transducer for 998? |
|
I see the following is on the Humminbird website for the 998c si. What does this give you? I also don't see this transducer listed under the products page...maybe I missed it...like that last walleye..
*To obtain 8000 watts PTP requires the use of the optional 1kW (8000watt) transducer.
Thanks

I have wondered the same thing, I searched for a few days before purchasing my unit and just gave up and went with the supplied transducer. Every distributors description lists the same quote why make it so hard to find/ does it exist?

The 1KW (8,000 watt) transducer is the XTH-9-DB-35-KWT. It is a bronze Thru-Hull 50/200kHz Dual Beam transducer (no side imaging) that is used for water depths far beyond what our standard 200/83kHz dualbeam transducers are capable of. All it gives you is deeper water depth capabilities.
